Cork city has gone to the dogs.

McCurtain St has massively improved over the past couple of years. Some decent bars and restaurants up there and an increased footfall in the evenings. These scenes are a kick in the balls for anyone who has invested their hard work and money into the area. The Gardai need to adopt a serious zero tolerance for this kind of shit.
Agreed.
Cask, Thompsons, The Shelbourne, Dan Lowry’s, etc….

It’s a nice street to spend an evening

Cyclists sharing the same streets with cars are extremely vulnerable. In this era of nanny state, I cannot understand why it is allowed at all. Authorities seem to be in denial about this.

Yeah, we been to curtail car usage in urban areas, active travel is the future, Ebikes, Escooters, shanks mare etc.

I know... It wasn't lost on me.

Then I walked by Patricks Quay where the works are in full flow. One lane of traffic. Absolute chaos everywhere. Merchants Quay, Horgans Quay at a standstill.

Mile after mile of bicycle lanes that are scarcely in use.

Choke points at most major traffic arteries in the city centre.

Third rate public transport.

Theyve f*cked up the city centre spectacularly.
