What exactly will these 4 new wardens be doing to justify roughly 300k a year on wages , pensions etc ? They have no powers so just to report graffiti , or unsociable behavior which id presume be done regulary by members of public .

Been beter off getting 4 gardai off their holes and putting them on the beat and at least they have powers of arrest or to move people on ..

You have to ask yourself what kind of person signs up for this job. Failed Gardaí? Ex-military with Event Centre sized chips on their shoulders? “Pillars” of the community who will be making the emergency services busier than normal with their over zealous enthusiasm?

Era id day be a fine handy number just walking around and if they see anything untowards just give garda a buzz , see any graffiti tell the city council .

Its not like they will tackle anti social behaviour themselves and that was my original point its just a waste of money when the answer to it all is put a few gardai on beat day and night ..

Is the garda reserves still a thing ? If so wouldnt that be ideal for them ..
