They appear to have painted the street in various colours.. why?

And this was a proper paint job, not just some lad with chalk. Is this meant to be art?

There's two places it can be posted but I think here is best.
We are Cork page has up a post about the Palestine Flag being hung up around Cork City today.
Those 'legends' have only gone and removed all of them.

I blame the City Council for this, they removed all the tri-colours which I agree was a littering offence etc but apparently Palestine Group had permission? Apparently and the question mark are key bits of context. I say this as they did it during the day and had hi-vis etc the tri-colours were done under darkness.

It could get very nasty if these groups were to clash or meet in the process of this.
