Cork city has gone to the dogs.

Not really in line with the thread but last nights Corkmas Parade was the best thing to happen the city in a long while.
Brilliantly organised, no over kill with the floats or music/dancers and all wrapped up in 30/40 mins.
City Council staff on following behind picking up litter if any.

Any scobes/winos/addicts no where to be seen

As I said not often the City Council get things right but this time they get the fair dues.

My friend's mother was on the 205 bus yesterday going to Bishopstown. Got to CIT and he told her and another person to get off as he hadn't time to go up Rossa Ave. She wouldn't be the greatest on the legs either, elderly lady.
Tell your friend to send a complaint to the National Transport Authority

There is no point in venting at Bus Eireann, they don't give a care about the traveling public. It is the NTA that have as such contracted Bus Eireann for those bus services.

That is a disgrace.

Lady at work telling me there has been some attempted break ins of cars in Douglas/Maryborough in recent nights.
It's a regular occurrence in the southside and out to Carrigaline...........a few lads were caught over the summer in Carrigaline at it........not sure if joyriders or looking for anything valuable enough to rob in the cars.

I said to her she should complain but she said she couldn't be bothered.
It's a catch 22 really isn't it. If people don't complain then nothing will ever be done, but on the other hand, I've never known anyone to be happy with the outcome of a complaint.

I had the misfortune to have to drive into town today, a miserable experience, spent so long stuck in traffic, especially around the quays. We really need to discourage people from driving into the city centre and parking wherever they want, there was a Ford Ranger parked on the footpath meters away from the Opera House ffs, in any modern well policed city that flute would have been towed away or at least clamped but not here.

No guards to be seen anywhere on patrol although the I saw the Armed Response Unit jeep alright.

The Victorian Quarter is a sh*tshow because of traffic aswell, needless to say.

We need more bike lanes.
Honestly though a park n’ride covering northside and one from little island side would do wonders I think.

I’ve stopped driving into town between the lack of parking and the cost of carparks, I can get a 10min bus which stops across from my house.
