Cork city has gone to the dogs.

Had a young woman (respectable-looking, early twenties) come up to me on Patrick Street, as if we were restarting a conversation that had been interrupted. Never saw or spoke to her in my life. Told me she'd studied to be a nurse but how her boyfriend hits her and that she had to escape from an ambulance that morning but couldn't really remember why. Well-spoken but eyes like saucers, completely divorced from reality.

Drugs are destroying the city.

lol, that didn't happen.
You'd want to drop your mass hysteria about drugs. You and the likes of EnnisY, ThatFella etc.
It's getting a little bit annoying.

Conveniently, you all really enjoy a drink yerselves.
Alcos pointing the finger at drug addicts is a bit silly and actually makes you look a bit stupid.

Ask our mutual friend if it didn't. He was there.

I don't know if you grew up sheltered or what, but you're completely unaware of what goes on in town.

I used to sell newspapers outside mass!

There was a guy who used to buy the Tribune and the News of the world and say "50p of news, and 50p of pictures" ;-)

What is mass like these days? Probably haven't been since the early 90s.

Is it still something like the priest preaching about stuff that goes on in the world that he has absolutely no clue about, then gets everyone to pray for God to sort it all out?
