Is this country really " awash with money "

We have not had a new prison built in this country since that new one was built here in Cork which was when? Around 2012 ?

Consider the population increase since then

Then the hospital situation, locally again, an elective hospital was announced to be built on the site of St Stephens hospital in Glanmire and absolutely nothing has happened there as yet.

I know of a case in CUH, a guy had a serious brain operation recently, it was planned etc. The operation happened, afterwards the patient ended up in a high dependency ward on a trolley

Is the reduction in tax income from fuel really screwing up the economy that much, that bus and train fares have to go up?

I just don't get it.

It’s been explained many times. It’s complete FFG incompetence. From the top all the way down.
It was FFG/Healy-Rae voters who blockaded our ports and motorways. Repeat, FFG/Healy-Rae voters blockaded our country. The same voters who continually vote for people directly responsible for bankrupting our country.

No M20.
No North ring road.
No event centre.
No N25 upgrade.
No defence force.
No renewable energy delivery.
No water upgrade delivery.
No legal defence representation.
500million spent so far and no Metro.
8million spent on Pascals lawyer pals for their failed Apple tax case defence. Money well spent there Pascal!
No consultant staff for Saturday rostering.
No Garda resources.

Now though, the wokies and pearl clutches have taken over and the Gardai have to be on their very best behaviour at all times.

And the legal profession make hay with. The revolving door “justice” system 🙄
