Cork city has gone to the dogs - official crime thread

Think even kids playing in their neighbourhood would learn a lesson about what drugs can do, and how to spot and stay clear of scobes

When we were growing up the older kids always made sure the youngsters knew who the queerhawks were and to give them a wide birth.

Valuable education for life
🤔
True Yer but one poor kid may not get the opportunity if he/she's attacked at random by dangerous individuals.
Kids, due to social media, aren't as communicative with each other these days either.

Lads like him need to be taken involuntary to a psychiatric unit for assessment if a danger to the public.

He obviously needs help and will probably just end up as a dead victim of our failed mental health services.

I think we may be conflating two issues here.

That mohawked scumbag that is carrying out unprovoked attacks on randomers in town should be locked up straight away in my opinion. Let the handwring wokey "ah shur god love him he really needs our care and attention rather than incarceration" lot visit him in jail/confined hospital whatever. Just get him tafuq off our streets before (and it's a matter of when not if) he does someone serious damage.

The un-dead ones I'd like picked up on a regular basis and dropped out individually on the city fringes are those who aren't violent per se but when they congregate in groups can pose a threat of violence and intimidation for people trying to go about their lawful business in the city centre which is effectively the face of Cork that relies on tourism and commerce.

Your 'round em up and dump em elsewhere in the city' suggestion is completely ridiculous and solves nothing Yermon.

Are you suggesting Knocknaheeny and Hollyhill as a destination for them?

🤔
Do you think that they'd fit in well up there Fed? 😉
I have great time for the people of Knocknaheeny and Hollyhill who have great pride in the area they live in.

Others get uppity ideas of superiority and scuttle off to places like Douglas which is really a step down in class in my opinion.

Now if it was Fairhill it would be completely understandable as that's where the elite of Cork City live.

Knocka, Hollyhill, Sunday's Well, Monard, Dublin Hill, Ballyvolane, Rathcooney, Mayfield, Mahon, Mount Oval, Grange etc etc

Take 20 or so of them off the city centre streets, put them out individually to the far reaches of the city and let them find their way back in. Rain, hail, or shine. Let it be a salutary lesson to all and sundry.

Can we do a test run with you as it appears that you have completely lost your mind. 😉
