What a great days work by Gardai, Revenue, Customs, ISPCA etc.
They got it from all sides :

Gardaí attached to Cork City Garda Division conducted a high impact search operation targeting criminal activity in Cork City today Wednesday 2nd September 2026.

The search operation involved a range of Garda units including the Armed Support Unit, the Dog Unit, Divisional Search Unit, Serious Crime Investigation Units, Community Engagement, Roads Policing, and Scenes of Crime Units.

The multi-agency operation involved Gardaí working alongside partner agencies including Revenue, the Department of Social Protection and the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA).

Investigating Gardaí conducted searches of six properties in the Mahon area of Cork city.

During the course of the search, Gardaí seized €6000 in cash, €1000 worth of suspected heroin and €600 worth of suspected crack cocaine.

In addition, investigating Gardaí seized electric scramblers, e-scooters, slash hooks, hammers, baseball bats, machetes, swords, slingshots, and 2 caravans.

The NSPCA seized 10 dogs, 1 pony, and 1 horse. All of these animals will be examined by a veterinarian in due course.

A male (aged in his 20s) was arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 in a Garda Station in the Southern Region.

Investigations are ongoing.

I was in town at lunch time today and saw a very dodgy junkie fella handcuffed on Patrick Street being frog marched to a cop car. There was also something going on on Half Moon Street. Gardaí had a car stopped and were grilling the driver. Not sure if it was a targeted crime thing or just a traffic thing. Plenty of them around today. Obviously a planned push especially after that Nutcase stuff on Oliver Plunkett St at the weekend.

One thing I'd say in favour of the cops there when they seem slow to arrive is that often people pull out their phones to film it rather than ringing the law to call in the incident. Don't know if that's applicable in that case or not. His name is all over twitter, worth Googling him to see his previous antics. A dangerous individual.

One of my lads went in town last night for a quiet pint. On his walk back from McCurtain Street towards Daunt Square he saw three separate fights taking place.

Said they were all deffo on something as they were wild eyed and twitching.

Went down one of the side streets that lead to Ollie Polly from Pana, saw another lad in the same condition fling a barrel at another.

Wednesday evening in the city center like, we're fucked lads, FUCKED.
