Many changes have happened since 2020 to our beautiful city. Some things have never changed but many have, and for the worse in many cases. There is a lack of vision in the city now, with many competing ideas wining out creating a disaster for commuters, pedestrians and residents. One such perfect examples to kick it off : McCurtain street renewal....whereby now we have a line of traffic (including buses) stretching back to St Lukes trying to get to Lower Glanmire road from Blackpool... A Disaster. You can't turn innner city thoroughfares into imposed community spaces.

Idiotic decision making and absolutely unaccountable. Bishop Lucey Park, green areas disappearing under paving. Ham fisted plans railroaded through without any public consultation.

All and any public works to the city have to go through the planning system and extensive rounds of public consultation including all businesses and stake holders like Bus Eireann, An Garda Siochana, NTA, utilities like ESB etc.

It all has to be advertised in the print media.

They do not just show up on a Monday morning with diggers etc and start work.

Yeah in fairness I think the madcap BusConnects plan has been altered due to public backlash at the public meetings. 600 M for the implenmentaion of this though is a crazy amount of money and the people will not forgive or forget this waste
