Skorks are ridiculous. They don't wear them at training, so why wear them for matches? Great strides have been made in ladies sport in recent years, such as clubs opting for dark shorts for example. If women and girls are telling you they are uncomfortable to play sport in, why persist? A lot of these same women and girls wear shorts playing football. Out of interest, do women still have to wear them for hockey?

Don't think women have to wear them but not 100% sure Eleven.

Those making the most noise have probably never attended a camogie match much less be aware of the organisation responsible.

Hockey players have the option to wear skorts or shorts the last couple of years. Big campaign in UK led to the rule change.

Obligatory Skorts are ridiculous. I see online some Camogie players saying they like to wear them and how they like that distinction from other sports.
5 months ago the Camogie association decided to uphold their rule. There was a mini uproar at the time.
The calls from the female media commentators to the Camogie Association to just circumvent rules, corporate governance and procedures are a bit shocking.

The match being cancelled by the Munster council was some power move. A passive aggressive chess move while the players thought all along it was a game of draughts.

The Camogie gang are decades away from being ready to amalgamate with the GAA.

I’ve already gone through 3 multi packs of popcorn watching this unfold. What’s the next move I wonder?

My arse.
Nothing shocking about it.
It's a dumb, pointless rule.
The association not knowing how to be flexible in the face of overwhelming player and popular support for a rule change points to them being the kind of rigid, backward thinking leaders that let their antiquated governance structures get in the way of progress and positive change.

The GAA should be thankful a team of brave rebels broke the hegemony of old pale stale GAA men in this county and as a result men up and down the country can wear shorts.
