Fucking Jokeshop.

Was trying to find somewhere with half decent weather (just not rain like) to head to in the first week of October with the old doll. I started a job about two month's ago, and haven't had the chance to get a break from work, etc.

They fly to about 50 places, which looks fair enough.

Everywhere that isn't London finishes up before then, or doesn't run again until December, or flys out on a Monday only, meaning I'd have to take 6 days off rather than 5, etc, this is before I even think about the cost.

Pain in the hole to be honest, will have to go to Dublin now, which negates the whole point in having an airport.

If you go later in October you can fly to Tenerife Sunday to Saturday.

You don't 'have to' go to Dublin. You will choose to.
And as long as people continue to do that, the demand for Cork won't increase and won't lead to better choice.


Or just whinge about the situation and then contribute to it.

The hassle of going all the way to Dublin only adds to the stress. I live around the corner from the airport, land, get baggage and home in 10 minutes with the kettle on.

London Heathrow / Stanstead / Amsterdam Schipol have plenty of connections.

Stanstead is an hour away

I'm trying to get away for a week, I'm not taking three flights to India to "find myself".

You're absolutely right of course.
It's an airport designed by a cretin,run by imbeciles and about as useful as a dildo in a convent.
€200million and every passenger still has to hand their ticket over to ONE person at a single gate for it to be manually checked.
32 check-in desks for airlines that have operated online check-in for years.
A massively congested drop-off area outside but plenty of room next to it for a superfluous grass embankment and a statue of Christy Ring.
And no easy way of getting past that embankment from the long-stay car park to the terminal when it's pissing down with rain.
A restaurant only accessible before security,the smallest area in the entire airport where the most people are going to be congregating ( waiting to board ) and nowhere you want to fly to non-stop unless you're East European.
Air Coach to Dublin has long been my preferred escape route.

I worked there back in 2007 and 2008 during the summer's, although there were a lot more flights and passengers back then too. I remember working the day the power went out, and finding out there was no plan for this.

Fucking place was like a sweatbox.
