I know he had bad addiction ls but apparently got a hold on them. I remember reading years ago about him cancelling last minute unless he has health issues. I liked him on the talent show he was on, he had a dodgy past and he had this raw ability that just shone.

Playing Dublin later in the year - supposed to be a small venue but then moved to Vicar St.

There's a band from the US called Darsombra, also a duo, they played in Coughlan's about 2 years ago. Same sort of buzz as Angine De Poitrine. In fact, AdP might have ripped off some of Darsombra's schtick. You might want to check them out.

One of them died recently when their van was involved in a crash.

I had a look at Darsombra in action, I don't see much similarity tbh, they have more of a ageing hippy, trippy vibe, not bad though.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are also cited as an influence on AdP but again I don't really see it. ​

If these lads were playing in Musgrave Park I'd be first in the queue for tickets, much better than insipid Mumford & Sons inspired faux folk bands with their songs about obscure East Cork villages.

Mistake, I reckon. I know they'll make millions but, as it stands now, Oasis' comeback was a career high (ticket pricing strategy notwithstanding).

Hotly anticipated with a lot of will they/won't they and can they even do this A. to a legitimately good level and B. without descending into pitiful arguing.

They apparently managed to pull it off - I'm not a fan so I can't say for sure but most reviews are positive. The brothers behaved (if rarely interacting) both on and off stage.

I think another spin on the merry-go-round might not be as well received. People will notice the cracks more.

Not that the either of the Gallagher brothers will give a shite about that - the pair of hungry cunts.

Saw em down the Pairc back in the day. Blown off the stage by The Prodigy.

Doubt theyve improved in the intervening years. Listened back to their first two albums last summer. Its not aged well. Stodgy pub rock
