Concerts

Did I just get lucky or something? On no planet would my Mrs drag me to a gig. She's mad into Amble and went to see them with one of her friends last year, because she knows I'd have no interest in them.

She goes to the gigs she wants to see and I do my own ones, and occasionally if it's a band we both like we'll both go.

I feel sorry for fellas who are being bossed around by a woman. A WOMAN like. Remember who the man in the relationship is. Remember who's boss.

Give and take m8. One for team Miss Lee Fields, next one for the boss.

Id seen Elton John before, the 1st time he played the Marquee. Er indoors had never seen him.

I can't respect lads who allow their women to drag them along to gigs they don't want to go to.

It's a hard no for me, Bill.

I hear ya. My missus wanted me to go to Ramble? (Edit: Just saw MOE's post - Amble, I was close) I think they're called - never even heard of them tbh. Bought tickets and all. She's going with the daughter instead.

Fair play to you for asserting your manliness.

Others would do well to follow your example.

"Taking one for the team" at an Elton John concert conjures up a very worrying scenario tbh.

It must be said that one of the Elton John concerts in the Marquee was probably the best concert I've seen in the Marquee and probably one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Think Billy Joel in the RDS in around 1990 was the best. I've a pretty eclectic taste in music and have seen a few in my time. 😇
