Computer parts

Hi all,

Been a while since I upgraded my desktop so looking at parts in the sales. I used to use Overclockers but the shipping prices have gone up, can anyone recommend a good site that has decent shipping prices?

My only advice
Pay a guy to source and build ( of course I don’t take my own advice,
as I’m without a desktop 5 years)
But a friend who’s into all that advised me There’s an Amazon discount shop French Church st who sell a lot of PC stuff ( used to anyway) Amazon returns etc Used be decent , unless it’s changed hands
Above or next to the Oxfam shop.

Thanks will look emup. Don't need a full build, just a few sticks of ram mainly, considering a dedicated network card as the inbuilt is pants and dont want to mess with the motor.

Hey meg, just decide what you need, part number etc and hit Amazon. I picked up a graphics cards a few weeks ago 100 cheaper than any where else

I've bought a few laptops from pcspecialist.ie and generally they have been fine, but the current one can't be upgraded to Windows 11, which is annoying as the spec is still decent I think

That's more than enough to run Linux. Ubuntu is probably the most straight forward of the lot of them.

If you still need a new machine for windows at least the old one won't go to waste.

Thanks for that advice, it would be a shame to waste it. (y)
