Clubber Subscription

This limited time offer unlocks every GAA+ exclusive match in 2026 for only €79 before the price increases to €95 from January 1st. This change reflects the rising cost of delivery and alignment to other subscription platform pricing.

As on here during the Cannon O Brien, multiple people online complaining about old games being shown instead of the live games this weekend.

Totally oblivious it's because clubber have temporarily copped onto a way of stopping people watching these live games on dodgy boxes.

It's very satisfying seeing people who won't play for a small Irish service caught out like this.

Lads are frustrated Clubber is stopping dodgy boxes, but the real issue isn’t enforcement it’s the pricing.
Clubber is €150 for circa six months with no monthly option. That lump sum is completely out of reach for many ordinary supporters, especially in a cost-of-living crisis where 350,000 households can’t pay their ESB bill.. Weekend passes or single games exist, but they end up costing more per match for the less well-off.
In my opinion all that’s the opposite of what the GAA should stand for as a community-based, voluntary organisation. Stopping piracy is fine and essential, but pricing out ordinary supporters is not. Clubber can be right on enforcement and still be wrong on strategy. They won’t be the first business with a great idea to fail because of a poor strategy.

Pricing supporters out of what?

It’s a niche private service, not an essential public service or even a community service. If people think it’s too expensive then don’t pay use it.

I think that’s the point other posters are making, people aren’t paying for it..
At least all the others tv services offer/offered a subscription
And your suggestion that it’s acceptable too privatize GAA coverage has been dealt with already by the GAA itself reversing out of privatization arrangements with others.
It’s no skin off my nose, but I’ve no interest in hearing of the wows and the moanings of a private business that can make a wonderful offering into a package attractive to enough customers 👌

I think €150 is unreal value for what you get. It's a 12 months series really as you get Harty, etc all winter. Now getting pre season games, they were even showing the cork minors in camogie today.
You could watch a game nearly every day if you felt like it.
I think they're making a serious effort to show as many games & competitions as possible, glad if they've found a way to stop the dodgy box users.

Erah you'll never win with some people. Some lads were online ranting about a service they weren't paying for, and technically watching illegally. One lad was calling clubber a scam because they weren't showing the game live!!!

As someone who really only wanted to watch the Cork club championships, I wasn't best pleased with paying €150 at first but in fairness despite some technical difficulties from time to time it's been great value. Harty cup, Dean Ryan, and O Callaghan Cup coverage has been fantastic.

Offering a monthly subscription may be an option (could add additional costs too) but I think the people who watch on dodgy boxes still wouldn't pay a sub tbh.
