Nope....and thats the millionth time i've been asked that...

But lately they've :

- Kicked Shels' ass at the Cross on August 15th
- Progressed to the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup
- Progressed to the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup by knocking out the Lithuanian and Swedish League leaders.
- Maintained top spot in the Eircom League.

But lately they've :

- Kicked Shels' ass at the Cross on August 15th A 1-0 win just about exellent game
- Progressed to the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup barely, after a replay
- Progressed to the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup by knocking out the Lithuanian and Swedish League leaders. Great stuff and we're not out yet
- Maintained top spot in the Eircom League.on goal difference

Dont sugar coat it so much. we could yet end up with nothing.

Would you have settled for that in pre-season? When 2 weeks before the start the manager had been sacked and the players hadnt a proper pitch to train on?

Fact is that the passed few weeks have been probably the most difficult on the field the club has ever had.

In the last 10 weeks City have played 15 tough games against the likes of Ekranas (twice), Djurgardens (twice), Slavia Prague, Shelbourne and Derry City. Fair enough they've lost 3 of those but theyre still in a very strong position.

cork city this cork city that the majority of cork city supporters are biggest shower of wankers i have ever seen when things were bad in the middle 90's before they moved to bishopstown how many city supporters were out in the cross in the blistering cold about 12 in the shed and 9 of them were shouting for the opposite team and still the players clapped for the loyal fans but when they're successful all jump on the band wagon where were all these loyal fans back then eh the club were nearly broke they needed support .....................fairplay to richardson great manager i lost faith with the city supporters when bohs were visitors couple of years back city fans couldnt take a slaggin and decided to take it out on the away team scum fans ................... but now i have to admit the buzz out in the cross is great again why because there successful and may the success continue but i hope these so called loyal fans keep coming to the cross if things go bad we'll have to wait and see ................ richardson is the man and will bring success

You speak the truth. I remember one game against Derry City at the Cross when Noel O Mahony was in charge, possibly 95' i'm not too sure, but I remember the Cork City "fans" booing their own players and actually cheering when Derry scored. That was during a particularly bad time for the club, when it was close to going bust and the Cross was a complete dump. And that season I remember that kind of mood prevailed the whole way through, with the players being abused. It was absolutely pathetic.

But now the Cross is a comfortable ground to go to, and is more importantly somewhere u can watch quality football. I gladly pay 13euro week in week out to watch the likes of Joey Gamble, Neale Fenn and Danny Murphy.

Actually there was that notorious fai cup game v sligo at home when they won 2-1, celebrated in front of the shed and were stoned and bottled by the city fans. Pat morley scored his last city goal in his first spell in that game also before moving to shels
