Christmas Shopping

I don't really see the point of that tbh.

If I have to tell my husband what I want for Christmas and vice versa, then we might as well just buy stuff for ourselves.
So just get stuff you dont want?
Money is a limited resource around my house, cant be wasting it on things we dont want. We have kids for that.
She's buying herself shoes today, apparently it's her Christmas present from me.

Vouchers are the right job. My old fella buys an Aer Lingus voucher for my birthday and I buy him a Ryanair voucher for his.

I don't think my husband has ever bought me something I didn't want to be honest. But if he did, I could say it to him and return it.

I get that lots of other people prefer the model ye have, I just don't see the point of it myself.

Spot on with the small surprise. It doesnt matter as much if you fuck up with that one.

I think.😬

My family will be getting the rocks I painted from some community event I was told to go to.

Coming soon to a beer garden market near you will be decorative painted rocks bearing the Beamish logo.

I have a 3rd perspective on it all - I dont want anything, and neither does my missus so we may well not buy each other anything this year again. If there was something obvious I'd buy it for her no prob, but there rarely is. We are heading away for a family holiday this Christmas, that will do me all day long. I usually head away with friends for 4/5 days in Feb so kind of take that to be a present to myself that covers Christmas and birthday in theory

I need to make sure the kids get her something though, not because she wants anything but I think its nice she gets something from them for everything she gives them all year. Ideas are scarce on the ground though! Her best friend lives abroad so a flight over to see her always goes down well
