Constitution Hill ruled out of Unibet Champion Hurdle at 2026 Cheltenham Festival by trainer Nicky Henderson

Nicky Henderson has stated that Constitution Hill will not run in next month’s Unibet Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham ahead of an intended Flat campaign later in the year.

I think this year's CH is one of the lowest in quality, that I can remember. I suppose the temptation was, if he stands up, he'd have won it easily.

I'd imagine he's done a bit of schooling in the last couple of days, which wasn't convincing enough, so they decided to pull the plug.

Fook sake, if the owners have balls Lossie goes to the CH. You'd guess Constitution hit a hurdle or two, or even took a tumble and they were like, ok, fuggedaboutit.

Totally agree about the quality which begs the question can any of the 10 colts still left in the race give any of the 3 mares 7lbs and a beating, I don't think so. Maybe last year's Triumph winner Poniros is the one open to most improvement??

Marine Nationale, the next high profile horse to miss the Festival

Looking for a little help there please fellow racing Proccers; Usually watch the 4 days in the pubs of Blackpool but looking this year to maybe pop into town for one of the days (Wednesday or Thursday), any recommendations? The only criteria I have are that a) I have a good view of the tv(s) and can here the commentary and b) the toilets are on the ground floor (Shout-out to the hill-climb to the jacks in Larry Tomkins back in the day). I was half-thinking of the Wool-Shed but I'm probably too old to be in there on me own and not sure if it'd be open at 12:30 ....
