I don't disagree and I'd never vote for him either and also probably think Trump is as big a prick as you do if not more, and while there is certainly a cult built around the gobshite who'd love him regardless of what he did, but having said that I wouldn't think everyone who votes for him actually has to like him.
A large issue for the Christian conservatives is a roll back on abortion laws and Trump is delivering on this albeit maybe more slowly than they would like so while it may seem contradictory to vote for someone with such a lack of morals there is a case of the ends justify the means. If Satan himself promised to end abortion they'd probably vote for him.
We have something similar here with the Healy Raes (please note I'm not comparing the Healy Raes to Trump) whereby I'm sure a lot of Kerry folk are quite embarrassed by their antics but vote for them simply because they get things done for their constituency, that is probably a world wide phenomenon, so I don't know is that a stick to beat his supporters with, I'd go more with the slogan (make America great again) when it was clear by all his inane utterances and promised actions that quite the opposite was going to happen.
