Champions League 2025/26

Bayern have been superb tonight, slightly better finishing on one two occasions and this tie was over
Aye. Real and a decent spell when Milatao and Bellingham came on. I'd say they start next week.

Im sure that young lad Pitarch will be a player in years to come but think the occasion got to him a bit tonight. Still though, some work rate. Reminded me of Park or Kante in that sense.

Wonderful game though. Credit to both teams for having a fcuking go. Olise, mam of the match for me.

Some assist by that right back for Mbappe. Where'd they get him from? Must have cost a fortune?

It’s only now the CL kicks off for me, the group stage is about shite, teams don’t look bothered as there’s fuck all jeopardy.

Tonight was excellent and one of the best games I’ve seen in a while.

Olise was brilliant, Bayern done well there in fairness

To be fair Arsenal's route to the semi-final kind of shows why doing well in the league phase can make a big difference. Liverpool got unlucky last year, topped it but then had to meet a PSG side who only scraped into top 24.

Ya I agree it’s great for teams that get through the early games in good knick but it’s an unbelievably boring watch compared to before in my opinion.

Champions league is supposed to be pinnacle of the game but for 6 months it’s as dull as dish water and is majorly lacking in quality but that’s across the board in the game the past few years.

I don’t know about that. I am unsure how seriously the big non-English clubs take the group phase, other than wanting to qualify of course. It’s a bit of luck if you manage to avoid them in the knockouts.

I know the seeding would say Arsenal got the easy draw due to their top seeding but time will prove that top seeding isn’t that important as plenty of the big guns are happy enough to scrape through. Sometimes you’ll be a Liverpool and get a tough one despite coming top and sometimes you’ll be an Arsenal and get a nice draw after finishing top.

'Fletch' is a Forest supporter, but I detest him.

And that shouting Matterface. And that ever poetic Drury on Sky who'd try to sound poetic commentating on Barrow v Harrogate.

Thank you for Brian Moore, Barry Davies, and Motty.
