We've had that in Málaga for a number of years. It really encourages people to use public transport. 50c for all you can travel in an hour.

if you have to get more than one bus in Cork regularly you're fucked.

Proper fucked, I'd say 90% of people get a single bus. so €1.35 Is now €1.70.

now that my kids cam walk we hardly ever get the bus becuae it's so unreliable and slow

if you get a train in from Cobh or Middleton you may well need to get a bus after in the 90 mins buy they don't seem to have included that

Like there's no logical explanation for that. My first thought is that the driver lost control, but if that happened he'd have gone straight into the cars. But whoever was behind the wheel there was able to steer it in between the cars on either side of the road.

My second thought was Young Offenders, but no cameras to be seen and tbh rush hour on a Thursday would be a fairly stupid time for that stuff.

So the only remaining option is terrorism.

I'd say it's a driver who doesn't know the city, and who, due to the street being shut off for the foodheads, wasn't allowed to turn right on MacCurtaina per his usual route. Then followed Google Maps recommendation for getting to Dillon's Cross.

Unfortunately a lot of the people driving buses around this city are not from this city.
When they are assigned a route, they are the only roads they know.
When something like that silly reason to shut a main city street occurs , then things like buses going into places they should not be will continue.
