In the UK, it's after 9.30am and, for some strange reason, before 110m.
There is a strange group of older women called the "Twerleys" in Lancashire who congregate around bus stops from 9.20am onwards. When a bus arrives and the door opens, they all surge forward and shout in unision to the driver - "Are we twerley"? If it's before 9.30am, he nods "yes", closes the doors and they take a step back. If it's after 9.30am, he shakes his head and they can then all clamber on.

What is going on in Bus Eireann is that they tried but simply cannot compete with private sector competitors.
Expressway is a Commerical arm of Bus Eireann and it competes with the likes of Aircoach.
So a semi state is dealing with reality and guess who cannot cope? Yes the semi state. The driver of the Aircoach bus is probably on half of what the Bus Eireann guy is on when entitlements and pensions etc are factored in.
Commerical reality is coming to fruition here and the unions are shitting themselves.

It's the scarcity mentality of people born before, say, 1950. They were brought up at a time when there was very little of anything to go round.So, if they don't get on this bus, why, there mightn't be another one!
