Bus Connects Plan

The issue with ghost buses and very late buses is also brutal during off peak times. The traffic excuse only gets them so far. The majority of the time I use city buses is off peak and I don't even bother anymore. I try to get a lift, walk or taxi. Recently when one didn't show up, i walked in and got from Togher/Wilton right the way into town without one bus passing. I'm all in favour of better infrastructure for public transport, but the bus service has been a disgrace as long as I can remember.
I think recruitment and staff issues in BE is the other main factors leading to Ghost buses. Well that is according to the NTA and I do know someone high-ish up in BE that testifies in the same degree.

With your picture the the luas would be feasible where the trams originally were and still room for cyclists, cars, buses, trucks etc, Thanks for posting Jank backs up my point.
Thats the problem, you see the car at the top of the pyramid.

If we didn't have big stupid footpaths it'd be possible it's not about clearing cars.
Yea, stupid footpaths. Who cares where people, young and old walk? Once I have my Chelsea tractor, everyone else can go fuck themselves. Vroom, vroom..!!

I didn't make up shite, 2 of the 207's could pass each other by the maxol garage I saw it with my own two eyes.
Gosh, poor lads. They have been stuck there the whole time and you haven't fed them or offered them shelter?
I absolutely agree why footpaths are bigger is to slow people down but Donnybrook Hill last time I checked wasn't on the list of 30kph so your argument is invalid pal.
All urban areas are to under the 30kph rule. So, yea they are included.

Its part of the national government scheme and the 2024 road traffic act.

What you saw are to do wth bylaws in certain estates and roads the council are responsible for.

Your bullshit arrogant approaches don't work with me
Well, you do come across as a bit dim-witted and dunce-like. Of course, it won't work with you. ;)

Do you drive a car, yourself ?

The problem?
Again putting a lot of words and scenarios in my mouth ?
We can all share the roads, just everyone needs to acknowledge that.

Stupid footpaths? I said big stupid footpaths, yanno the very large ones no one uses. Don't misquote me at all. The ones people end up parking on and there's still loads of room to walk around, buggies to fit through and wheelchairs can easily pass.

See you're missing the point, 2 HGV/Buses should be able to pass each out on an urban road safely. The point at which they could not pass was the corner by the carpet place/garage. Wing mirrors on a bus could hit a pedestrian or if their wheel bounce a curb there could be a blow out? Again if you come off your high arrogant horse you might see all perspectives.
What if there was cyclist like yourself? The bus would have no where to go.

Fair play with the link Jank we're in 2024 now and there's no movement on any 2024 Road Traffic Act as you said it's local councils applying by laws.

I come across a bit dim-witted and dunce-like?? That's very rich coming from you boy.
An arrogant little man like yourself, afraid to bruise your ego when you're constantly proved wrong here or called out on your bullshit.

You should ask herself (or himself) for the ride tonight, might release all that stress you've built up.

Do you drive a car?

Which footpaths are these?
The ones people end up parking on and there's still loads of room to walk around, buggies to fit through and wheelchairs can easily pass.
Maybe if cars didn't have to illegally park on said footpaths they could be smaller? The issue there is with entitled car owners.

Are these buses still stuck on that road? You never answered it.
I presume not as they were able to pass each other fine.
Therefore your point is moot.

Its an amendment to the current laws.

Very much so. Your inability to stay on point without having to resort to Daily Mail tropes comes across greatly.

You are well aware of the footpaths as you no doubt follow bad parking Cork who report it constantly.

One bus had to mount the curb, you don't need me to explain the dangers of that do ya?

Correct an amendment to current laws but when will they actually be implemented?
The local councils are doing more and better work in the area of road safety than RSA and Government with their by-laws.

Resort to Daily Mail tropes?
Give one example.
And again covering yourself in your arrogance glory so your small man syndrome ego isn't bruised.
Your inability to answer a the question of do you drive a car comes across greatly.

Example? Which footpaths do you deem are too wide?
One bus had to mount the curb, you don't need me to explain the dangers of that do ya?
That is just bad driving. Nothing to do with footpaths.
Anyway, isn't there still construction going on there? Perhaps judge it when its finished?
Correct an amendment to current laws but when will they actually be implemented?
This year apparently.
Give one example.
Giving out about footpaths being 'too wide'.
