Budget 2023

Few questions
Where are you getting those figures from?
Why didn't you include pre pandemic 2017 and 2018?
And according to the Times with regard to first 6 months profits are through the roof.
https://www.irishtimes.com/business...first-six-months-of-year-amid-surging-prices/
I googled them, didn't go back any further as thought 4 years would be enough.

Admittedly I did pluck the expected 2022 figure out of my arse based on the previous years half year results versus this years half years results.

pearse doherty says he would have increased minimum wage by 1.40eu,
When asked if it would see many businesses struggle to survive he replied
there would be exemptions for companies who cant afford it,

Exemptions?

So if business A can't afford to pay €13 an hour then they don't have to, but if business B can afford it then off they go.

Hmmm I wonder which of those two will struggle to get staff

Like "all of them"?

The opposition has been totally routed by this massive program of budget supports.

Pierce is only phoning it in these days as he is way out of his depth as he is sticking with his energy price cap idea which is akin to the banking bailout and could bankrupt the state's finances, but it sounds simple, and populist and the U.K. has this price cap lumping it all on the taxpayers and it could cost them £100-£150 billion.
