Yeah the very same, that company scams all exchanges. Prague is only most known.

What exactly is the scam with the ATMs - do they charge exorbitant "administration costs" or do they skim your card or wha?


Speaking of scams and Prague, not sure if I said this already but a buddy was in Prague around the time of Ireland playing over there - he said two days after the night of the Irish match the price of a beer in whatever the Irish Bar was, actually halved compared to what he'd paid the previous night. He was chatting to some local customer and wondered what the reason for the half-price drink was, only to be told that this is the normal price, it was just doubled while the Irish fans were in town.
THAT is how some "Irish bars" treat their own

They give you shit exchange rate (sometimes -20%), limit minimal withdrawal to absurd amounts and then on top of that they will add a hefty admin fee. It wokrs fine if you withdraw in the same currency your card and the ATM is in. But in any other scenario it is a pure robbery and scam

Got back late last night folks
It's a beautiful city with loads to see and we walked practically everywhere. I found the local people reasonably friendly and the vast majority seemed to speak English very well.
The downside was the temperatures of 38° during the day and 30° at night. This made trying some of the local cuisine difficult as it's quite heavy on the stomach. Drink prices not too bad but the currency is a killer. Large amounts that seem to have little real value. F1600 or more for 50dl draught lager which I consumed a lot of.
