Bishop Con Lucy Park

Yeah dunno where the idea came from, urban myth.

It's a nice park. Grand to have a bit of a green area in the city centre. The cops would want to move on the winos and the fellas openly dealing tho.

I wouldn't change the name. The guy did a lot for Cork. Wouldn't agree with the Greens on this at all.

The redevelopment includes removing the now iconic arch into the park from Grand Parade. Idiotic.

Couldn't care less what it's called but the park is a dive.

The actual Peace Park, or specifically the boardwalk area by the Electric, is starting to be slowly taken over by the druggie brigade. Big crowd of them there every day lately.

Paul Street has gotten VERY bad in the evenings. Go down any week night after 8 and you'll see the same faces hanging around. At least Tesco is open so you can duck in there if anything kicks off.

Wouldn't be too worried about the amount of SCUM about the place but the amount of fucking litter everywhere is DISGUSTING.

Shame as I say it, it's not even down to the Norries. You see it all over the South Side, from dog shit in Douglas to commercial waste down the Marina. Cork people are FILTHY UNCIVIL SWINE.

It is not confined to Cork. Last year my family and I stayed in my aunt’s condo in a gated, affluent South Dublin community. We walked to the nearest bus stop and to my shock the entire hedge behind the bus stop was covered in garbage. There were piles of rubbish people just threw there while waiting for the bus, I was embarrassed.
We stayed a week in Clare and it was absolutely beautiful but cities in Ireland are covered in dog shite and garbage.
