Place down by the GPO, is it O'Connell's, opposite the entrance to the Winthrop Market, used be quite good for hot-chocolate. Not been in there in a while though.

They do a really good dark hot chocolate.
Used to make it with cream instead of milk but it's been a while so not sure if they still do.

Love their hot chocolate. Use melting choc from a Crockpot instead of flakes so you get like a ladle of choc with the milk. Don't bother with cream on top.
Tbh, don't spend enough time in Cork to know the other options
