Heading to Berlin in July for 5 nights.

Staying in the mitte district. Any recommendations - Pubs/Clubs/weird shit to check out?

Plan on doing a lot of sightseeing, ideally by bike.

Lots to see there Jimmy mate.

For something different try this

http://berliner-unterwelten.de/guided-tours.3.1.html

Also worth a visit

Museum island of course is great but get there early to avoid the queues

Soviet war memorial always worth a visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_War_Memorial_(Treptower_Park)

Also apply for the tour of the reichstag online before you go.

Olympic stadium is pretty cool to visit as well.

Loads more to do will post when i think of everything

Head out to Wannsee and Grunewald.

Great forests for walks and cycling and even lake beaches etc. at Wansee.

Pay around €5.00 to get in etc.

Mitte is perfect, bang where you want to be.. just follow your nose, best way to see any city.

Cheers, Stacky. Will definitely hit one of those. Could make a nice cycle trip out of it.

How on how off bus is great to get your bearings. Loads and loads to do from cycling to walking tours

Loads of clubs, forget berghain though you won't get in, Watergate and chalet (some of the old bar25 people) would be worth checking out.

That happened a buddy of mine.

I've been in there and tbf getting in is a bit of an art form. For a start do not show up with a big group lads - that ain't happening. Also it's a fairly funky out there club . Nice shirt and smart shoes isn't going to work . They are after a certain type crowd and god knows what the criteria is but my mate and I seemed to match it . T'was good craic but by know means the most amazing club you'll ever be in your life.

Get yourself down to Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain , pretty cool districts with plenty of decent shops , boozers and gaffs to grab a munch . Lots to see in Berlin , actually too much to see in one trip. You can do the obvious stuff like go to check point Charlie and all that , and you can rent a Trabant and do a tour of the city which is a bit of fun. You can also hop on a boat and do a little tour down the river which is a bit fun. Enjoy , great city.

Hop on, hop off is your way to go.

Beautiful city ruined by expat layabouts and dour locals. I won't be back!
