I gave up drinking Heineken years ago. "No artificial additives just 5 ingredients" type bullshit claims but you'd still have a hangover after only two pints of it. An awful shame as you say, brewed locally.

Coughlan's used do a decent pint of stout out in the bar. Not been in there in a while though

It went to shit when they lowered the percentage of alcohol. You can taste the difference when you go abroad or up north.

I loved it when I lived there. It helped that I was getting a rake of free glasses with big heads of froth after work in the bar I was working in at the time. I didn't get it before I went but it definitely tastes better to drink small frothy glasses fast( not a loft reference).
