Babyrat - The next big thing, and they're from Cork

Pretty much where all their demographic would be consuming music, which makes it all the more surprising. The Button Factory is a big venue to sell out with no real release. I don't really care, or wouldn't begrudge them at all, and if word of mouth has done that - excellent, but I dunno if things happen that fast without a paid push, if it has, they're outliers. anyway, they're pretty decent and I'd 100% go see them again. i was probably expecting to be blown away and got just a little bit bored, which means fuck call, they're grand

I know that the big promotors are all over them. Tom Keating got them the Feeder support, then MCD swooped in, and now Aiken have their claws in and have them with Bell XI in the Marquee.

I hope they have some form of management as they are past being a pub band now but are open for exploitation.

There's a band from Dungarvan called Under Starling who I think are the best band in Ireland, but they've no guidance, no management, no idea what they're doing. These lads would be selling out huge venues by now if properly steered.

Absolutely world class band IMO
