Hmm last i heard the Far Right lad was winning, marginally, and they were waiting on the counting of the postal votes......so the Green lad wins because he had a lot more postal....paper....votes than the other loony....interesting Their presidential role is as important as ours is, i.e. not any bit at all.

The coalition negotiations went like this:

Everyone says no to working with the largest vote winners FPÖ (Nazis).

President invites VP as next largest party in parliament (Conservatives, eternal party of govt) to form a govt. Talks break down and leader resigns so they can talk with FPÖ.

FPÖ demand too much in order to force a new election as they are rising in the polls. Talks break down.

President tells VP to have one more crack at forming a coalition which they do with SPÖ (Labour) and NEOS (Lib Dems).
