Saval GAA in Down have submitted a motion for Down hurling and football teams to be withdrawn from the Allianz Leagues. Another nine counties have passed motions objecting to having Allianz as a sponsor.
Jarlath Burns spoke about it before Christmas and made some good points -
So what happens? If Down pull out, do the GAA back the county or the sponsor?
As well intended as players are on Gaza, are they really going to want to sit out the leagues and preparation for the Championship?
I can't see anything happening really but it's definitely going to be loud over the next while.

- The GAA need the cash
- It'd be very hard to find another major insurer without links to Israel
- If they dropped Allianz, it could create reputational damage that would make it difficult to attract sponsorship in the future
