All things Jurgen Klopp

He'll be managing in the PL sooner rather than later and he'll be box office when he gets here. Well deserving of his own thread.

Various sources today are quoting German newspaper "Bild" that Klopp has come to England to either:

hold talks with interested PL clubs

or

observe training sessions at PL clubs

If it's the latter then it's surely highly unlikely to be at clubs where he's a potential successor to the current manager (e.g. LFC, Arsenal, City).

Would love to see him at City when we get rid of that Colombian idiot. Can't see him going to a mid table side like Liverpool or bumnal

Dortmund's a former industrial powerhouse that's now a clunky rustbucket with the lowest average income in Germany. He'll feel richtig zuhause in Liverpool.

Some rumours circulating now on Twitter that Rodgers will be sacked Monday regardless of Sundays score.

We can hope.

I reckon Rodgers will last another few weeks, go closer to Christmas or just after and be replaced with a temporary solution until the end of the season, like Dalglish. But not Dalglish this time - maybe Gary Mac?

Then FSG will come along and sign the next flavour of the month, like Eddie Howe, Garry Monk, etc and the process will repeat.

I think they're intimidated by Klopp - he's a big personality with some success, would easily win the fans over - and would rather someone easier to push around.

Alternatives for Pool when they dick around and miss out on a proper manager like Klopp will be Frank de Boer, Unai Emery, Philipp Cocu, Rudi Garcia or Lucien Favre. Remains to be seen if any of these could make a difference at Pool.

But the change is desperately needed.

I'm interested to see how Klopp handles transfers. Never had to in Germany so that'll be new for him. And whether any English side would give him enough time to put his plan in place - maybe on that front Arsenal or Pool would be the best options? Could see him going the way of AVB at Chelsea.

Few people tweeting FSG won't hire Klopp because he wants full control of transfers and they don't want that.

Would have presumed some of the former East German states like Mecklenburg would be lower. They have never really got any big investment.

Contradicts what I've read Delz.

I read an article recently that said Klopp prefers not to be involved with the transfer dealings and just gets on with the coaching. Leaves that side of the game to a DOF

At Dortmund the way they worked was if Klopp said no on a player he wasn't signed. Similarly if Klopp wanted a player and there wasn't a unanimous yes from those involved then the player wasn't signed. I guess it could be the transfer committee he wants disbanded and a dof he could work with installed instead
