All Star Hurling Awards did Cork deserve more than 4

Probably not but I felt Brian Hayes was the hurler of the year.

He was never going to get it after what transpired in the All Ireland final but over the course of the year I felt he was the best hurler in the country. Tipp also played their sweeper almost exclusively in front of him to blot him out in the final so that shows the regard Cahill and Co held him in.
I also think the exciting thing is that there is still room for improvement with Brian and he's still nowhere near his peak.

Thought Robert Doyle deserved young hurler of the year over McCarthy but McCarthy was outstanding in the All Ireland final so that probably clouded the judges verdicts.

I think that was a flip of a coin between most voting, and probably went with who won the all Ireland.
McGrath did outscore him in Munster/AI series. 7-16 to 5-09, perhaps another dealbreaker

No. 4 is about right. Although if the season ended at half time in the all Ireland final then at the very least three of Tim O'Mahony, Mark Coleman, Shane Barrett, Patrick Collins and Hoggie are getting one as well, and Hayes is hurler of the year and Duds maybe YHOTY, nominated at very least. That's just the way these things go.

Any year Tipp and Kerry win All-Irelands the Allstars should be an excruciating watch for Cork people, and fair play, they delivered it.

Sick looking at it.

I stopped watching them or taking notice of them ever since Cork were blagarded in 2010 with only 3. And no forward. How you can win an All Ireland without an all star forward is beyond me
