We are a London based startup, AltViz , who specialise in bespoke data mining and visualisation problems for large corporates. Our team includes scientists, engineers and designers. We are looking to expand our team and have a really exciting project coming up in Nov and early Dec which is in the e-commerce space working on an interesting and hard problem.
We are looking for a intermediate to experienced front-end or full-stack developer who likes working on early stage, green field projects. There is no spec for this and you will have the opportunity to shape the implementation and direction of the code base, under the guidance of our CTO. There is also space to learn and we are looking for interesting and varied candidates from all backgrounds.
The project is 4-6 weeks initially, commencing the first week of November, with the potential for a far longer engagement in 2015. Our budget is around GBP 300 per day and we welcome remote workers (we use Slack, hangouts, base camp, etc)
The desired skillset includes:
HTML/CSS - particularly SASS (specifically SCSS)
Good standard of JS
JS lib experience: lodash/underscore, jQuery, Raphael
Understanding of SVG
Git (Bitbucket) for version control
Good communication skills for interaction with the customer & other devs
Quick to pick-up new JS libraries
