from what i hear from my fellow guttersnipe hack, our film critic, it's quite good. doesn't make the mistake of simply replicating the original, and the new director keeps things fresh.

having american soldiers in the film doesn't make it americanised.

film critics know fuck all, always get it wrong.

blowing everything up and having pure gung ho bullshit, so the ads lead us to believe, makes it americanised, but sure it would take intelligence to figure that out, nuff said really

I thought it was rubbish. Seeing (and more importantly, hearing) yanks in it really ruins the atmosphere.

Dunno. Twas a fresh idea and Danny Boyle's direction made it a class film. No longer a fresh idea and no longer Danny Boyle. The trailer makes it look average at best. I'll wait for it on download methinks.

This Is England is fantastic. Go see that instead.
