2026 Senior A Hurling Championship

The one on the right just before the junction with Marquee Road? When did the building start there? Was down that way last week and didn't even notice. Could have sworn I parked there last year for Prem junior final.

I don’t think the rest of the blarney team apart from those 3 is as bad as some here would have you believe.

It made me think though, which clubs would you think should be up there with the best in their county based on their star names, but in reality are well back.

The best I can come up with is Patrickswell.
They have 3 hurlers of the year in Gillane, Lynch and Byrnes. Gillanes brother was on the Limerick team as sub goalie too.
With such brilliant players still playing at a very high level, you’d be excused for thinking they should be in with a great chance of winning Limerick club. But this year they didn’t even get out of their group.
I just looked up how they got on last year. They lost all 5 championship matches with a scoring difference of -45.
It doesn’t say much for the rest of their current players.

neither have they 🤣
I’m not a fan of Colleges especially entering.
But in fairness, that CIT team had 14 of their starting team from Cork. Nicky Quaids brother being the only non Cork starter.
Compare that with UCC winning the foootball a couple of years before with a load of Kerry lads.

Patrickswell failed to come out of senior A group. Rest of team not up to a lot. Blarney seem to have a mental thing when it comes to getting out of senior A. TBH you would have to expect a lot more from their inter county boys. They resembled cork last night with a lack of leaders all over the field. Carrigtwohill were really up for anything Blarney had to throw at them.

Aidan Walsh was their mainstay iirc
