2026 Senior A Hurling Championship

I think Erins Own will be very strong at this grade.

They put up some good totals at Prem senior last year, but defensively they were a bit too porous.

If they can tighten up a bit at the back, I think they can win this out. They have a lot of recent Cork u20 players to add to some really good solid lads with plenty of experience at a higher grade.

Carrigtwohill had a very strong league campaign and Div 1 experience will stand to them. Hopefully the injury Sean Walsh suffered wasn't too bad and he's fit for them.

You'd think Blarney will be there or there abouts again but they have struggled to get over the line. Their league final tonight vs Ballinhassig vould be a good form guide depending on who's available for both teams.

Na Piarsaigh have been very competitive but just off it when it comes to the knockout games. Very unlucky last year with the injury to Connery and some lads abroad. If they have lads available they could progress again.

Castlelyons have done very well in this grade since coming up. What’s their age profile like, any new players this year? Looking at their league they did poor enough.
They are missing loads. Relegated in the league too.
Don't expect to see them make an impact this year in championship. Lads can't wait around every year just for hurling so they'll probably suffer this year as a result

Looking forward to this championship. One would think Erin's Own will go straight back up but it's never that simple. Blarney and The Hill will be knocking about too. Carrigtwohill losing Sean Walsh puts a serious dent in their scoring power.

They were wicked poor in the league final. It's knocked my confidence in them going straight back up tbh.

I don't think it's that straightforward at all, I'd probably have Erin's Own behind the likes of Blarney and carrigtwohill. Obviously the injury to Walsh might dent Carrigs chance
