I just don't see this at all. Bar Kingston and maybe 1 other I don't see any other players who could potentially hold their own at intercounty level. Douglas have lost a few of their marquee players over those 4 years and if they stay afloat over the next few years they will be doing well nevermind challenge for any county

I agree. Outside of Shane obviously and Mark Howell would any of them make the Sars team?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Alan Connolly he is not involved. Didn’t fire at all and how many chances does he get?

For me AC was motm for us against Limerick in the round Robin game after that his performances went rapidly downhill.

However, He will absolutely be in the squad next year imo if he chooses to be.

I would certainly reconsider his role as free taker and in general (not just Connolly) I think the selectors need to be less loyal to players whose form has dipped.

I think this has been an issue before this year and continued to be an issue this year.

He was excellent first day out v The Glen. Kept Rockies in it when down a man! Certainly needs to pick it up in the league next year though. His own clubmate would feel pretty aggrieved if AC continues to get the nod next year and doesn't deliver and he doesn't get a chance.
25-26 now. Should be in prime of his career.

He was good in the last 20 minutes against the Glen when he went into the full foward line. When he was half foward he scored 2 points, Eoin Downey who was marking him scored 3. Glen made a huge mistake not having Eoin Downey follow him in,.

The way he's been singled out this year is unreal, bad enough from outside the county but when so called Cork supporters continue to pile it on, when after a game where Kanturk destroyed the whole Blackrock attack for 35 minutes and he ended up around midfield for some inexplicable reason the reaction on here is to imply he's one of the reasons we haven't won an AI since the year dot.

It's clear the lad is not finding his gears in games, no idea why that's happening, but I imagine not many lads his age involved in an amateur sport would be immune to the hounding and vitriol that's directed at him.
It's fairly f**kin clear there's a nest of so called supporters on here who are at it as well, sad ol yokes who're triggered by the fact he's had a bit of a laugh on tiktok.

Whatever is up with him I hope he'll sort it out, always been convinced we need a fully firing Connolly to be in contention.
The best version of him will not be replaced easily.

If you actually bothered to remove the blinkers and bias you'd clock in my post that I noted that his form is poor.
It's pure disingenuous to claim that the criticism of AC isn't OTT.
When one of our lads is getting dragged on social media, I don't see where the issue is with someone coming on and calling out that it's a bit sh*t that Cork fans are into the same sort of craic.

Would do, and have done, the same for any player - Coleman last year, Collins, SOD, Brian Hayes back in the day when thickos were trying to persuade everyone that he wasn't related to being a hurler.

What is your actual problem with, shock horror, a supporter who isn't in to sticking the boot into lads when they're struggling for form?
