Sad to see country clubs loosing players to the city. Country clubs dying and having to amalgamate while city clubs have 6 under 12 teams and 3 or 4 adult teams
Randals are tight for numbers in football, so they are not going to cut of their nose to spite their face.Good addition for the Barrs. He should be a solid senior club hurler for them. I don't think he will go any further than that.
It's obviously disappointing for his home club who have made good progess recently, but at least the relationship seems to be cordial if he's still playing football for them.
I didn't realise there were city club short of numbers, but I won't know the inner workings of tge City clubs to be honest. I remember going up to a u10 blitz with my nephew in Douglas, and they had only 3 teams that day as they had a hurling tournament elsewhere.
