2026 Premier Junior Hurling Championship

Cloughduv snuck through by the skin of their teeth with only 2 points. Thought they would be challenging this grade.
Travelled more in hope than expectation and had the bit of luck today with Milford missing alot of good scoring chances and we took over in second half and were just praying for Catherine's to do us a favour which they did.

Coming out of Tracton game most of the talk was could we stay in this grade but you never know what can happen now as lads will have got a huge boost with this win and getting to a quarter final is an added bonus.

There isnt a whole pile between alot of teams and everyone of last 6 will now think they have a chance of going all the way. This win made the journey home from kanturk alot sweeter for their loyal following .

We find scores hard to come by i think. And we got a bit of luck with Milfords goal square ball call. I thought it was gone when we had the 4 wides in a row with about 10 mins to go

Backs very solid but need to sort out forward line as has been poor all 3 games .
Today's win will be a great boost to the whole club and if we can get best 6 forwards on field I think we will have every chance .

Thought Clifford and Aidan Murphy were superb today as were all our backs ..

Kilshannig vs ballygarvan should be a cracker, barryroe going under the radar abit but would question have they been properly tested yet, albeit they’ll gain big confidence from defeating their neighbours.
Catherine’s going well in what is a very tough group, with all to play for still there
Kilshannig and Ballygarvan was indeed a cracker, Big slip up by barryroe, Catherine’s keep motoring on. A special mention to cloughduv the great escape to get out of that group given there position going into round 3.
Argideen had big win over the Barrs

Went to riverside yesterday knowing that because of senior injuries we would be short sam cunngham who scored 1.14 in the last game. On the game itself it was very competitive for the 1st 15 minutes and then we conceded 3 goals in 3 minutes approx including one straight from a sideline.Game over.
Having seen all 3 barrs game I don't think either barryror or Argideen will win it out.

100%, it was a really weak group

Barryroe lost Olan Donovan to serious injury in the u21 final, he was a big loss for them yesterday. The winners will still likely come from the two semi finalists I think.

It appears that like the Nemo game couple of weeks ago, Ballygarvan had the winning of this one but let it slip away.
As per post above, all teams left standing will think this could be their year. Catherine's have been close in recent years - this may be their big chance.
