2026 Premier Junior Football Championship

Cullen v Millstreet is also a massive game at this grade, given they are near neighbours and the winner goes through- great local derby knockout game!
Always think its amazing how poor Millstreet have been over the last 15-20 years. You look at Rathmore 10 mins drive over the road from them, similar size town, Senior club in Kerry, co semi finalists this year down there. Multiple All Star players over the last 2 decades. Millstreet meanwhile playing in the 5th tier of Cork football.

Wouldnt be so sure about Nicks, they got hammered the first day out against Canovee who only drew with Kilmacabea. Bar last year Nicks have been in poor form over the last 5/6 years while Kilmacabea haven't lost many games in recent years and have momentum behind them after a great draw the last day out. I feel the midfield battle is key and if Kilmac manage to limit the Downeys influence then they would'nt be far off getting the result they need

Canovee v Na Piarsaigh, 15+
Cobh v Urhan, by 5
Cullen v Millstreet Tight, Murphy out for Cullen?
Inniscarra v Glenville, dark horses now they are out of hurling
Nicks v Kilmacabea, by 2, game of the round.
Vincents v Kinsale, by 8

Dont think the Downey's played against Canovee and they would be a huge advantage to Nicks and also they have got to two U21b finals in last 2 yrs so have a good crop of young lads coming through .

Think it could go either way but I'd be leaning to Nicks as slight favs to win this one .

Canovee v Na Piarsaigh,
Cobh v Urhan,
Cullen v Milstreet
Innicarra v Glenville, Draw
Nicks
v Kilmacabea,
Vincents v Kinsale,
That would be 3 draws in a row for Glenville.

I was going to say that would be almost unprecedented, but their hurling compatriots in WGH drew 5 group matches in a row over 2 seasons a couple of years back.
In fairness once they finally did get a win, they kept winning and ended up in Croke Park.

The Nicks team on Friday night will be very different to that which started against Canovee.
