2025 Senior A Hurling Championship

Will be interesting to see how bishopstown get on. Really struggling and think they could be in danger for relegation again this year

I'd give them a good chance of beating Ballyhea

Early prediction I'd go Killeagh, Piarsaigh, Castlelyons, Inniscarra, Blarney, Watergrasshill to be the 6 to make knockout stages

Killeagh, Carrigtwohill, Inniscarra, Castleyons, Blarney, Watergrasshill all to make it out of groups.

Ballyhea/Fermoy in Relegation Final with Ballyhea to go down

I'd rate Bride Rovers as a top 4 side but think they might miss out in that group. Obviously it's hard to fully predict until we see early season form and later in year what teams are hit by injuries/players away, etc

I'd expect Bride Rovers and Blarney to come out of that group.
Seasoned campaigners at this level now.
If WGH were in either of the other 2 groups I'd fancy them to progress but not that group.
Courceys are no daws either.

In saying that there will be a lot of pressure on Bride Rovers. Both Blarney and the Hill especially can't stand the sight of Bride Rovers so going to be a real dogfight for them in that group.

I can see it being potentially tough for Blarney to make the same impact again next year. While they're a pretty young team (6 forwards 23 or less) there's not many new players coming through for them at the moment so it's a case of developing what they have for now which admittedly is a very strong team.

The one thing that annoys me is how little ball they play P Power. It must drive the guy mad. We all saw what he can do at u20 level for Cork. He was genuinely outstanding.

Bride look like they are lacking the natural forwards other teams have. Playing Tobin up there as a prime example. They're a young side too though with some outstanding players in the backs and mf. However if they aren't 100% on it, they can struggle for scores against top teams.

For that reason I'd give WGH a real chance of progressing. They have natural scoring forwards and have real momentum behind them.
