That game will stand to Knocknagree big time. Last week out they would have been very disappointed not to make a semi final. Now they are in a semi final at the weaker side of the draw and have just beaten their local rivals AET. Will be hard stopped now and are definite favourites. Kanturk dominated the middle but don't think there is a team out there as strong as Kanturk in that department. Knocknagree are well rounded and don't rely on any one man.
Don't think anyone is surprised that Fermoy go down. Poor showing for such a big town. They will be eligible to play for Avondhu in the PSFC next year should they enter a team.
2 great matches to come in the semis but I must say the cill na martra and Éire og game would’ve been much better suited for a neutral venue. Both sides will bring everyone in the parish with them but this game could get lost in the park. A neutral venue like macroom or cloughduv would make for excellent viewing in a smaller venue.
Tbf these are senior clubs and they deserve to be playing in the biggest of venues but I think if this game were below in macroom the crowd would really play an effect on who wins. You could nearly run it as a double header with Macroom nearly being a neutral venue for Beal atha and KNG.
My prediction for the final will be cill na martra and KNG but other than that I can’t call it. If any other club than Éire Og win it it’ll be a massive testament to their clubs as they probably haven’t got a combined population as the likes of Douglas or Mallow. Any man that backed CNM at 10/1 must be saying the rosary every night praying that they’ll get to the promise land so they’ll be able to find their mortgage…
