Most Junior B and Junior A clubs pay for outside coaches now, let alone Intermediate and Senior clubs, and it is putting clubs under financial pressure each year. A lot of clubs need to invest more in developing their players at underage and develop their own coaches too. Realistically the best outside coach in the world might only improve an adult team by 10%. Fair enough, it can be hard to find coaches each year. And in fairness, if an outside coach is willing to coach and only asking for the bare minimum to cover diesel costs and their time, it ticks a box for the top table. But there are a nice few coaches doing the rounds charging €200 or more per night and it is greedy. Clubs should be wiser to these fellas.
