2025 Junior A Football Championship

Was at the Kilmichael and Ballincollig game myself. Although Ballincollig were very poor Kilmichael looked very strong in attack and took their scores well. They could be a force to be reckoned with in this years championship.
i've heard good things about this Kilimichael team. Can't forget that they beat aghinagh last year in their group. Expecting big things from them this year with their younger players now having a couple of years experience under their belt. Getting out of their group being the bare minimum this year. I reckon they will give the mid cork a right rattle this year.

Good to see Kilmichael and a few other sides coming, think Donoughmore are probably the strongest side here at the moment and would expect them to win mid Cork and rattle the county, especially given the strength of their underage teams in recent seasons.

Aghinagh to remain their biggest threat probably, both benefitting from county league games at the moment.

Have to agree with you on this one, those two seem to be a level ahead of the others. Will be interesting to see how they get on against each other in the group. Donoughmore to win the county i reckon but aghinagh wont be far off them like we saw last year.

Aghinagh will definitely be gunning for them this year with the hurt of losing after a replay last year, not to mention they were up 7 points with only a few minutes left.

I think there' still nothing between Aghinagh and Donoughmore but whoever is to come out of Muskerry would be again strong contenders for the county. Aghinagh pushing for promotion to division 5 can't go unnoticed.

I think if Ballygarvan can get a run injury free with the likes of Brady they will compete again for the county. Kilbrittain might be an outside shout with the couple of transfers back and on the crest of a wave from the AI hurling win. Carbery division will be as competitive as ever.

KB going very poor in carbey league so far this year even with all their transfers. only 1 win out of 4 and they havnt even played kilmeen yet who look strong favorites for the league title.
Wouldn’t read too much into the league, particularly with clubs playing hurling in the county leagues. Think they have a few lads gone traveling including Philip Wall

Big upset in the muskerry league last night with Ballingeary beating Grenagh. Midweek game must have benefitted Ballingeary as you can only imagine they must have had a few seniors playing. This blows the league wide open now as 4 teams could make the final heading into the last 2 rounds of games. Most likely scenario is a shootout between Grenagh and Kilmichael on the final day to see who plays Clondrohid in the final

Muskerry League Roundup
Ballincollig vs Eire Og

Eire og had a convincing win against a poor Ballincollig side in a game that didnt mean much to either side with both sides having more or less nothing to play for at this stage in the league.

Ballingeary vs Kilmichael
Kilmichael had another strong win over a totally different Ballingeary team to the one we saw at the start of the week. Kilmichaels recent form has now put them in with a huge chance of making a league final. They play Grenagh in what you would imagine would be a shootout to decide who plays Clondrohid in the league final.

Canovee vs Clondrohid
Clondrohid got the job done but rather unconvincingly only beating this very poor Canovee team by 12 points. Although you would imagine Clondrohid will stilll get over Ballincollig in 2 weeks time, if they dont they will be rightly kicking themselves if they lose out on a league final down to score difference and this would defenitely be the game they would look back at wondering could they have done more.

Grenagh vs Aghabullogue
The final game of the weekend saw Grenagh narrowly beating Aghabullogue by 2 points. Grenagh still find themselves in a good position to make a league final with them only needing a draw in the final game but it wont be easy as they are playing a Kilmichael team who seem to be hitting form at the right time and will be gunning to get their revenge on Clondrohid who have gotten the better of them in recent games.
