I had a relative who was a nun and I was with her when she was dying.
She had always had extraordinarily strong faith (I had another relative who became a nun purely for career prospect reasons and who didn't really seem to believe in God at all! ), but this woman's approach to death has always stayed with me.
She was so at peace, and so certain that she was going to God. It was amazing to witness. Her father had died before she was born, and she was really excited that in death she would finally get to meet him.
It struck me as a great gift in dying, if one had it.
