Lots of injuries didn't help but they be back.Bad call by me tipping the village, they look like they're in serious trouble. @FoxLeary I should have trusted what I saw in opening round against Knocknagree haha. Fair play to Clon, two serious wins in that group. Cracker of a quarter final draw. The Barrs arguably got the easiest draw despite two defeats and could find themselves in semi final having not played to a fraction of the potential.

I was at the Castlehaven match and it was a totally one sided game in that Castlehaven dominated from start to finish but they are not going to win the championship with the defence they have and especially the full back line. They are leaking goals six against the Barrs last year and four yesterday and could have left in more only for a couple of miraculous saves by their goalkeeper.I have seen Clon twice this year but have not seen Nemo ,The Barrs,or Carrigaline so I don’t know how they are doing. Senior football is a very different ballgame to the lower grades, especially against the big 2. They came into the Clon game with a bit too much confidence and we gave them their "welcome to senior football" moment - but they weren't the first/last to get a scalding from the Brewery Boys this year.
From their perspective they will have learned a lot more from losing to the big 2 than they would have had they been beaten by one of the middle ranking teams like a Newcestown, the Barrs or Carrigaline.
They're still a young team, no reason they can't establish themselves as a top 6 team at this grade in the next year or two.

Knocknagree have had a satisfactory first year and they will now realise the step up is massive and knowing their demographic they will need to do it fast because in these small villages the players coming through are limited.
Ah good year for Knocknagree in fairness. They will take confidence from it. They got unlucky with the draw.
