2025/26 Premier Senior Football Championship

Don’t beat yourself up too much…you could be one of the geniuses who tipped Ballincollig to beat the mighty Clon.

Just the 25 points off lads

Fair play Foxy it was men against boys today and ye made B'collig look a very poor team .⁸

I would expect the Barrs to beat a poor Mallow team.

What a scalp for that “poor” mallow team. They showed great resilience after a poor first 15 minutes to prove that Barrs side is no powerhouse of a team. Never write that young team off. No doubt they’ll be back next year with more ambition and drive

Were Maguire and Hayes playing ? They would be a huge difference if they were'nt

A good scalp indeed and while I would still argue they’re a poor team, that was a big win against a team that looked like they needed to win.

As I said, the Barrs are hugely one dimensional, lack speed of thought and movement and if you stop Sherlock and match them physically you’ll beat them.

Wow- the power and pace of the Brewery town is something to behold.

They will be red hot favourites going forward but something tells me they have the mental tools to deal with it.

[red&blue]

Give FoxyTravis his dues lads, this is done and dusted, the cup is on its way to Clon, by far the most superior team in the competition

Congrats to FoxyTravis

Maguire was out. Hayes came on for last 15 and did make a difference to be fair. William Buckley had a great game I thought and really stepped up when Sherlock was marked out of the game.

Pa Doyle cannot be the Cork keeper next year

It’s not the first time I’ve said it this year but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen a team in the Cork senior championship play with the speed, flair and panache of this Clon team.

We are must watch viewing for any football purist. I suspect there will be as many neutrals as supporters at our next game.

Newcestown will be a tough battle, they’ll be going into it as underdogs and will do their utmost to stop us playing our free flowing game. But these Clon lads are no soft touches, to paraphrase a saying “if they want to play football, we’ll play football, but if they want a fight, we’ll fight”
