Legend is a word bandied about too much, but just like his good friend at lifelong team mate Bertie O’Brien, who we also lost in recent years, in Eamonn’s case it was true.
A man who loved the Barrs and drove us to success on and off the pitch. My abiding memory of Eamonn is running straight for goal in a county championship game against I think Glen Rovers , passing 2 or 3 defenders who in turn flaked him as he surged onwards before palming the ball to the net, and only then did he fall to the ground in agony
